Church Member Accountability Letter below was found when searching for Office responsibilities and thought is was a good reminder for all that serve our local Churches.
Subject: Accountability and Responsibility in Appointed Positions
Dear Church Council Members,
I hope this message finds you well. As Chairman of the Administration Council, I would like to address a matter of importance regarding the responsibility of those appointed to positions within our church community.
It is essential that we all remain accountable to the roles and duties entrusted to us, ensuring that we are fulfilling our responsibilities with integrity and dedication. Each of us has a critical part to play in the smooth operation and growth of our church, and it is vital that we approach these roles with a sense of commitment and urgency.
I kindly urge all council members and leaders in appointed positions to reflect on the expectations of their roles and to consistently prioritize their duties. If any challenges or concerns arise, I encourage open communication so that we may address them promptly and continue to work together in support of the church’s mission.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and for your continued dedication to the work of the church.
Blessings,
Romans 8:7, Romans 1:22, Proverbs 12:15, Proverbs 14:12
Another rule of thumb is this: if the mall is open, the church should be open too. If we have to make some sacrifices to make that happen, so be it. When people drive past an empty church to a full parking lot at the store, I think it suggests that we Christians are not very committed to what we do. And, sadly, I think that’s probably right. For now, I don’t have to worry about this problem, but if I ever go back to parish ministry, I’l have my sleeping bag and shovel ready. Church must go on. We should burn brightly as a symbol of Christ’s presence in the world, much like the lamp that burns in our churches. That is a good message, a Gospel message.
Oh, and my friend who decided to hold services today — despite a bit of criticism — welcomed 90 people. Good thing he didn’t cancel.

The devil can’t touch you.
The demons can’t have you.
The world can’t possess you.
What people think about you
matters not one whit.
You belong to your heavenly Father.

It’s not about us, it’s about Jesus,
and when it stops becoming about Jesus,
we need to Close the Doors!!!
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:25
We once understood that we don’t stand in judgement of the Bible but the Bible stands in judgement of us…
We live in unprecedented times. Never before have we seen such turmoil and confusion in the world. The pandemic has laid open an unsettledness that even Christians have not been spared.
Continued social distancing and working from home–these have taken a toll on the spiritual lives of many Christians. More than ever before, this is a time we need to heed what God warns us of in Scripture. He reminds us that Satan is like the prowling lion, looking for his prey and ready to pounce. God’s Word reminds us to get back to the basics of our faith, and to guard against the Enemy of our souls who is ready to devour us when we let down our guard!
When you find yourself discouraged, downtrodden, and spiritually weak; Praise the name of God. Find some praise music, call a friend and dig into the Word of God…
Psalm 34
Have you ever thought about the magnificence of The Bible and what a privilege we have in studying It? Pray; then open The Word and let The Holy Spirit teach…
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Matthew 6:33-34
Hear the word of the Lord , ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
Hosea 4:1-3 KJV
