Should rage so fiercely round me in it’s wrath;
But this I know — God watches all my path,
And I can trust.I may not draw aside the unseen veil
That hides the unknown future from my sight,
Nor know if for me waits the dark or light;
But I can trust.
I have no power to look across the tide,
To see while here the land beyond the river;
But this I know — I will be God’s forever;
So I can trust.

Almighty God, giver of every good and perfect gift,
teach us to render to You all that we have and all that we are,
that we may praise You not with our lips only,
but with our whole lives,
turning the duties, the sorrows, and the joys of all our days
into a living sacrifice to You;
through our Savior Jesus Christ.
Thank You for the natural world,
in which we find the means to be clothed and housed.
Help us to see our place among these gifts,
not to squander them or think of them as means for selfish gain.
May we respect the life of all You have made.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
