A Proverb for today:
An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.  Proverbs 12:25

Read Matthew 6:19-34

The map of West Virginia grows darker each day as the number of persons testing positive for the coronavirus grows each day.  Of our 55 counties, only 11 have no cases.  And, now Poca has at least one of Putnam County’s 11 confirmed cases.

The disciples were locked in the Upper Room on Holy Saturday surely feeling a deep sorrow over the death of the Master.  They feared being arrested and crucified, too.  And, it is obvious they were feeling defeated, the last  three years wasted.  It is hard to imagine the depth of their despair.

Then came the morning . . . .

We know the virus is deadly.  It is difficult to have positive feelings, but if we respect the rules, if we clean, clean, clean, and if we trust God and wait patiently, we will have joy in the  morning.  God knows what we are going through, and God cares.  Stay in, if you can, and be safe.

God bless and shelter you in His care while we wait for this to pass.
