In Luke 18 Jesus taught His disciples they should always pray and not give up. He told them about a certain widow who appealed to a judge for justice. The judge kept ignoring her, but she kept coming asking for relief. At last the judge decided, if he was ever going to get any rest, he should perhaps hear her case and he did.
Responding to that Jesus said, “And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly.” (Luke 18:7-9)
For those who say they do not know how to pray, hear the great Boston preacher of yesteryear, Phillips Brooks, give us his definition of prayer — “A prayer, in simplest definition, is merely a wish turned heavenward.”
My prayer for all of you today is that you are staying healthy and safe,
