My discovery of the One Year Bible in late 1999 was a wonderful gift for me.  Nearly everyday in Old Testament, New Testament, Psalm or Proverbs, I get a special up-lifting thought for the day:

Deuteronomy 15 instructs the people of God to care for the poor among us; and through Five Loaves and Two Fish that is being done here in Poca.  Lately, the US Congress has been wrestling with the same question in response to the COVID 19 Pandemic.

This line from the Psalms is very meaningful at this time in my life–“Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone.”

A warning against worry:  “Worry is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind.  If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained.”  –Arthur Somers Roche

God bless and keep you safe.
